I have a lot to be thankful for this year. For starters, I had family I hadn’t seen in a while come in for the holiday. Plus, I didn’t have to cook a big dinner; we went out and someone else cooked for us all. Although, this morning I decided to make breakfast – eggs and waffles.
The rest of my thanks are more personal and harder to put into words, so I’m not going to try. However, I will say that my life, while not perfect, is pretty darn good and I will always be thankful for my family.
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!
I had to work this morning, as happens from time to time, so I’m not much for doing anything else at the moment. Therefore, I have camped out on the couch and am watching several live-action Disney movies on TBS. It’s something I find quite relaxing, especially since I’ve already seen them all before and know that I like them.
I hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend!
It snowed for the first time this past Tuesday. It only snowed a few inches, but it’s stayed so cold since then, that there is still snow on the hill behind our house.
I was hoping the snow would hold off until the new year; my hopes have obviously been dashed. Oh well. The snow is still beautiful to look at and I’ve gotten much better at driving in it. So, all is not lost.
I hope everyone has a safe and warm weekend!
This past week has been rather busy, so I never got around to my blog post yesterday. Today is my day off and I finally have the time to get some stuff done around the house.
I’m getting items checked off my to-do list while making pepperoni rolls (which take a while from start to finish). I don’t have a recipe for y’all today, just this quick note to say how warm and fragrant my house is becoming.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Thirty-one days of writing poems has come and gone. It wasn’t easy, but it was definitely worthwhile. I feel like I’ve accomplished something. A feat that hasn’t happened in a long time.
I’m pretty happy with what I wrote. I know that not all the poems are publish-worthy, at least not yet, but they’re all mine. I created each and every one of them and that’s something to be proud of.
It’s now November, which means that it’s NaNoWriMo time. However, after exerting so much energy over the last month just to get one poem written each day, I think I’m going to have to skip it this year.
Still, now that I’ve begun writing, I’m going to try to keep it up. Although, maybe at a lower frequency.
Have a great weekend everybody!
